A great RAILTALKS. Year is coming to an end and we are already looking forward to the coming one! As the year draws to a close, we are summarising the highlights of the past year and looking back at exciting discussions, intensive networking and a successful RAILTALKS. @ Innotrans 2022.
The Railtalks. Year started with the question, "What can rail learn from the sharing economy?".
In our panel, Stephan Bull - Head of the "Masterplan Schienengüterverkehr" department at the BMVI, Kerstin Corvers - Managing Director KombiRail Europe B.V., Peter Jakobs - RheinCargo AG, Vanessa Langhammer - Rail Cargo Austria AG and Hendrik Eichentopf - CEO modility.
In addition to the exciting discussion, we started our event with an impulse talk for the first time. Lukas Petrasch, co-founder of CargoBoard, kicked off the event with insights into the sharing economy on the road.
In June, we left our familiar home to find the perfect location for our RAILTALKS. Summer edition.
After an impulse talk with Babette Müller-Reichenwallner - CRO Railnova, a lively discussion started around the question: How are new technologies changing railway operations?
With delicious food and cold drinks, our summer edition was rounded off by intesnive networking and further discussions around the topic of sharing sail. We look forward to seeing where we go next summer :)
After two long years, the time had come again - Innotrans in Berlin was just around the corner!
In the run-up to the trade fair, there were already intensive discussions about a possible integration of our RAILTALKS. format at Innotrans 2022.
Thanks to the active support of Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, our experts Larissa Zeichhardt, Steffen Bobsien, Sabine Juchem, Dr. Olaf Radant and Siegfried Büttner were able to discuss the question "How do we design the "digital classroom" for the next generation of railway experts?
We are already looking forward to our next guest appearance in Munich 2023!
Will AI & digital innovations solve the capacity problem of the railway sector?
After a great event in the summer and our guest appearance at Innostrans, it was time for the first RAILTALkS. in a new location in November.
Waqaas Rehman, Thomas Böhm, Annika Hundertmark, Driton Emini and Maria Leenen took their seats in the panel and discussed whether and how digital innovations can solve the capacity problem of rail.
In addition to the new "home", for the first time there was an extended supporting programme for our guests on site. In addition to an exciting keynote speech, three innovative start-ups from the industry had the opportunity to present their own solutions and approaches to the audience on site. This is a platform that we would like to offer to other start-ups in the future. The goal is to discover innovations from and for the industry and thus promote cooperation in our sector.
All in all, an exciting year for RAILTALKS. and our community! We will be going full throttle again in the new year. We continue to grow and look forward to bringing the sector together with new content, new formats and exciting events. Follow us on our channels to make sure you don't miss anything.
